Randall Krause has over twenty five years of specialized expertise in optoelectronics and fiber optics, industrial ceramics, multilayer co-fired ceramics, high reliability and medical electronics packaging, laminate organic materials, space transformers/interposers, semiconductor assembly processes materials and equipment, and the packaging & assembly of microprocessors, memory arrays, ultra-high frequency, and power semiconductors. Mr. Krause specializes in the preparation of patent applications related to semiconductor packaging and assembly, ceramics, laminate and organic materials, optoelectronics, fiber optics, nanotechnology, and MEMS.

Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana


Prior Work Experience


Mr. Krause has over 12 years experience working for NTK Technical Ceramics, Inc. where he was the Chief (USA) Applications Engineer responsible for development of new products, designs, and customers for a wide range of ceramic and organic technologies. In addition, Mr Krause has been a Technical Program Manager for Amkor Technologies, Inc., the worlds largest subcontract assembler of integrated circuits. Mr Krause has also held engineering positions with TRW Optoelectronics, and with the pioneer semiconductor company, Mostek, now ST Microsystems, Inc.


Associations


Mr. Krause has been a long-term representative to the Joint Electron Device Engineering Council (JEDEC) as a member of the JC-11 Committee on integrated circuit package outline standardization; and JC-13, the Committee on Government-Industry Interface; all under the auspices of the Electronics Industry Alliance (EIA). Mr. Krause is a member of the Silicon Valley chapter of the Microelectronics Packaging and Test Engineering Council (MEPTC), the International Microelectronics and Packaging Society (IMAPS), and the National Association of Patent Practitioners (NAPP).
